The MINIMAX story starts 11 years ago, with a young lady fresh out of University – who had a dream . . . She had the opportunity to be a part of the Alabama Student company at the Potchefstroom University where she had such a life-changing experience. She wanted to give children this opportunity at a younger age, knowing that some of them might never have the privilege of joining such a group. Sunet Wagner started MINIMAX, to ensure exposure for schools and their learners on well-known and exciting platforms such as the Pretoria State Theatre, etc. Revue Minimax was born in 2001 as a very modern, exciting and 20th century exposure platform for schools and had great successes with the competition. Our clients soon realized that Minimax was worth every word they promised and started requesting for more and different products. This is where Minimax became a service provider to over 800 schools in South Africa. We as Minimax Designed a range of Dance DVD’s “ Art of Dance” to assist the Arts & Culture educator in the classroom by putting the choreographer in the room, and giving the educator free hands to do his/her evaluations. Minimax also serves by managing schools Productions from A-Z including the choreography by using our professionally trained choreographers. Soon after this the educators started requesting that we train them on choreography as it is in some cases due to financial constraints at their schools or in most cases, due to the absolute fulfilling experience. But it did not end here! Minimax now has a full range of Dance, Drama, Visual Arts and Music Workshops available for educators. Revue Minimax has taken on another form, and changed from a competition platform to a glamorous Eisteddfod Extravaganza where schools, smaller groups and individuals can showcase their talents, hosted by well known theatres in South Africa yearly. It was in 2007 that the now full scale business, still with Sunet Wagner in the lead, discussed the matter of servicing, not only the schools as such, but Parents and their Children. And after 2 years of careful planning and detailed analysis, SPARK was born. This programme meets the dire need for safe and exciting exposure to the performing Arts industry, for our young talented upcoming artists. The main focus with the programme is to inspire, educate and expose children to the world of Performing Arts in a safe environment. The minimax team is innovative and fresh and aims to be known as the backstage door for children and young artists into the Industry. The Place where DREAMS come TRUE.
